In this 16 month calendar I share imagery from Colorado’s scenic mountain ranges. This state offers a total of 59 summits at 14,000ft. This past summer my mother and I completed all 59 of these peaks, a process that took us 5 years to complete. These photographs are from our last trip (July 15th, 2023 - August 4th, 2023) where we completed our last 14 peaks in 21 days. I hope you enjoy some of the scenic highlights!

We traveled to 8 different trailheads during this trip. Hauled in our gear to make base camps with the exception of some car camping to rearrange and sort gear for each phase. Starting with the Maroon Bells Wilderness we hiked into Snowmass Lake and set up camp for our summit of Snowmass Mountain with ice axes, crampons and all for a direct approach during a snowy season. We then hit Mount Antero before heading down to Little Bear and Ellingwood Point, from our base camp at Lake Como. We then traveled over Crestones and hiked in to set up out camp in Upper South Colony Lakes to access all 5 peaks (Crestone Peak to Needle Traverse, Kit Carson, Challenger Point, and Humboldt Peak). We added in a little play by visiting the the Great Sand Dunes to admire all the surrounding Spanish Peaks that we just completed and a little trip to Telluride for chocolate, dancing, and our only real shower for this 21 day adventure. Then we moved on to the Lizard Head Wilderness for our summit of El Diente Peak and the traverse to Mt. Wilson (which we already summited in 2020). We revisited the Colorado Trail where all of this began for our summit of San Luis Peak. Then our trip ended at Silver Creek Grizzly Gulch to access Red Cloud, Sunshine and Handies, The 59th summit of Sunlight Spire was completed after this trip. A left leaning crack climb up a 40ft chunk of rock near Sunlight Peak which we completed late August for my 30th birthday
